Submitted PoS to Critters

Today, I've taken my courange on hands and submitted the first three chapters of PoS to Critters. For people who might not know, Critters is one of the most famous workshops in the sci-fi/fantasy/horror circle. There are lots of people reading the manuscripts and, participating to it for three weeks, I have seen that there are lots of specific suggestions and feedback given out. People look professional (there are also a few pro writers who submit stories) and the reviews are very well thought and rich of insightful comments.

I will need to wait one month before my story will finally show up. However, I will wait for that eagerly, because I want to know what they will think of it, and which suggestions they will give me to improve.

I think that after the story will go through Zoetrope and them, I really will have something polished enough to attempt submitting it to a publisher.

If I will finish to write the story, of course :(

Critters, eh? Sounds very interesting!
Would it be possible to have a link, or is it just a members only-sorta thing? Do you have to take part to be able to read?
Could be interesting to take a closer look (especially at the horror-section); it sounds like a great place to pick up some good advice.

it is interesting. Just imagine that I got inspired writing my Remus and Umbridge fic by readin one of the submissions at Critters. It was a totally different piece, focusing on a werewolf's hunt, but the idea just popped out and I couldn't get to kill it ;)

The url is no secret: http://www.critters.org

yes, you must sign up to be ble reading stories there, and you must try having a good ratio. Normally they require at least 3 reviews of more than 200 words at month (which isn't much, counting how interesting stories are there), but award people who work more on the site. You can submit immediately your stuff on the queue, but the queue normally lapses for a few weeks. I think my story could be up sometimes in the end of August. At least, chapter one could. And I submitted it today.

I highly suggest you joining Critters if you like Horror. there are always quite a few Horror submissions, and they look pretty good (I don't read horror, therefore I cannot tell if they're indeed good or not). The fantasy stuff people submit is pretty good.

Well done! I have been thinking on Critters, but just now I don't have time for that. I am trying to finish a novel in my mother tongue, in order to participate in a contest, and the deadline is 31.7.
